Final Fantasy 15's Free Demo Drops Today

A new free demo for Final Fantasy XV is available today, it was announced during during the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event in Los Angeles. You can get a full recap of the event and all today's Final Fantasy news right here.

In the Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo, players will step into the shoes of Noctis as a child. They will be guided through a dreamscape by a small, cute creature called Carbuncle--a popular recurring summon from the Final Fantasy franchise. The demo is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The purpose of the demo, according to Square Enix, is to give players a look at the finished game's visuals, as well as introduce them to the final combat and magic systems. After completing the demo, players will be able to assign a name to Carbuncle and then use him as a summon in the main game of Final Fantasy XV. Only players who complete the demo will get access to Carbuncle, and the name they give him will carry over to the final game.
