Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is coming to Japan next year.
Square Enix is bringing Final Fantasy XII to PlayStation 4, the company announced today. It will be called Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, and you can check out how it looks compared to the PlayStation 2 original in the two-minute video below.
The game comes out in 2017 in Japan, though no information about a US release has been divulged at this time.
According to Dualshockers, players can expect to see better-looking backgrounds, character models, and cutscenes, while there will also be support for 7.1 surround sound. Additionally, players can choose between Japanese and English voices, while there will also be the option to use the "original" music or the "re-recorded" score.
Additionally, Square Enix said loading times have been reduced, an auto-save feature is being added, and the Turbo Mode is being improved.
Final Fantasy XII was originally released on PS2 back in 2006. For more, check out GameSpot's review.
