Whether or not Fallout Shelter has been altered in any way to meet China's local certification rules is unclear. We have followed up with Bethesda in an attempt to get more details.

Bethesda also did not say if Fallout Shelter will be available on Android or PC in China. In the US, the game is available across iOS, Android, and PC.

Fallout Shelter recently received a new update, 1.6, which added a new quest system that challenges players to explore places like the Red Rocket Fuel Stop and Super Duper Mart from Fallout 4. Check out this post for a full rundown on Fallout Shelter's 1.6 update.

By Bethesda's latest count, Fallout Shelter had more than 50 million registered players. The game was Bethesda's first mobile title, but it won't be the last, as more are on the way.

As for Fallout 4, the game's next expansion, Vault-Tec Workshop, launches on July 26. Additionally, the last add-on, Nuka-World, comes out in August.
