SCi Games has announced that it's looking for 10 people to appear as characters in its forthcoming action game The Great Escape. The 1963 movie on which the game is based starred the likes of Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, Charles Bronson, and James Coburn, but the cast list for the game is unsurprisingly going to be very different.

SCi and Pivotal Games are inviting any males aged between 25 and 55 to e-mail a JPEG photo of themselves (no larger than 250K) to faces@sci.co.uk before September 13 for a chance to appear in the game. The 10 lucky people chosen will each receive a free copy of the game when it's released next year and will get to see themselves in the game--most likely as an allied POW or German officer, although we understand that other roles, including a train conductor, are also up for grabs at this time.

The Great Escape game will be set at the famous Stalag Luft III German POW camp, but it will also allow players to attempt different kinds of escapes using tunnels, trains, motorcycles, and even a bus.

The Great Escape for the PC, PS2, and Xbox is currently scheduled for release in spring 2003. We'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
