Namco's Dead to Rights spin-off will feature a large assortment of crime-fighting options.

Comments

Last year's seedy crime thriller Dead to Rights brought us the story of rogue cop Jack Slate, a lone gun faced with a teeming criminal presence in his town, Grant City. Now Namco is working on a related action game called Extreme Force: Grant City Anti-Crime, which shares its setting with Dead to Rights, as you might guess from its title. Extreme Force is a third-person action adventure game that will have you trying your damnedest to clean up the sleazy streets of Grant City.

Little information has been revealed as yet about Extreme Force: Grant City Anti-Crime, but we do know the game will have a mission-based structure and will have you pursuing targets both stealthily and in a run-and-gun fashion. You'll be able to perform a variety of moves as you battle crime, including evasive rolls, wall crawling, and head tapping. You'll also have a full complement of police weaponry and equipment, including night-vision goggles, grenades, and door charges for forcefully entering a building.

It sounds like Extreme Force: Grant City Anti-Crime will be showing you the opposite side of the struggle that's been portrayed lately in games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. We'll bring you more on the game as soon as it's available.
