Nintendo has announced the latest lineup for the Wii's Virtual Console, and this week Europeans are treated to another Zelda adventure--The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, the third game in the popular series.

Originally released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, it introduced to the role-playing game series such elements as multilevel dungeons and the hookshot. The game's producer is the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto.

The second title up for grabs today is the original Castlevania from Konami, which was first released in 1986 on the NES. The platform game was loosely based on Bram Stoker's Dracula and was one of the first horror games to be released.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past costs 800 Wii Points (approx £6), and Castlevania weighs in at 500 (approx £3.75).
