Activision has revealed that Raven Software has completed its work on Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force. The game is the first PC game to be based on the Star Trek: Voyager television series, and uses a modified version of the Quake III engine to provide the framework for a solid first-person shooter experience. Elite Force's single-player game puts the player in the role of a special forces member on the starship Voyager. The game's wide ranging missions include familiar enemies such as the Borg and Klingons.

Activision has also announced that a collectors edition of the game is now available for pre-order from major retail chains. The special edition will feature two Voyager comic books, an Elite Force lapel pin, and a CD containing the game's 25-minute soundtrack.

Both editions of the game will ship starting September 20. For more information on the game, read GameSpot's Elite Force preview, linked to the right.
