Rumors about the sale of Virgin Interactive have been flung around the web for months, but today, part of Virgin (some could argue, its biggest asset) becomes part of Electronic Arts.

EA announced today that it has signed an agreement to buy all outstanding stock of Westwood Studios and other studio assets of Virgin Interactive Entertainment. The price is US$122.5 million in cash.

The sale is expected to close at the end of September. Westwood Studios has produced several top-selling PC titles, including Command & Conquer, Lands of Lore, and Dune.

Now the question is, who's going to buy Virgin?
