Several Origin games are also currently unable to be played online, according to EA, although the affected titles are not mentioned.

EA says it is working on restoring normal access to the service as soon as possible.

Earlier this month, Battlefield 3 found itself victim to distributed denial of service attacks that temporarily rendered the multiplayer mode of the game unplayable.

Origin, which has more than 40 million members, is a mandatory installation for many of EA's most recent titles, including Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and Crysis 3.
