EA predicts Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII

Publisher's latest Super Bowl prediction says Baltimore Ravens beat San Francisco 49ers 27-24 on fourth quarter 40-yard field goal.

by

If Electronic Arts' latest Super Bowl prediction is right, the Baltimore Ravens will defeat the San Francisco 49ers this weekend 27-24 to claim the Lombardi Trophy for Super Bowl XLVII.

According to the simulation (available below), Ravens rookie kicker Justin Tucker made a 40-yard field goal to put the team up 27-24 in the fourth quarter.

The 49ers made a final attempt to stay undefeated in Super Bowl appearances, but an Ed Reed interception from Colin Kaepernick with 10 seconds to go sealed the deal for the Ravens.

The EA Sports Super Bowl prediction has been accurate in the NFL's most momentous game for seven of the last nine Super Bowls. The simulation was two points away from predicting the exact score of the 2009 Super Bowl XLIII matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals.

EA also predicted that they will be the best company ever, so far they have failed.

I am torn between both teams cause there are 2 players on each team from my college team. Actually I will go for the Niners since they are closest to my hometown.

As a die hard Niner fan since Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Roger Craig, Ronnie Lott, etc, I say good luck with that prediction. Go back and fix that broken physics crap, then maybe the game can actually play out correctly! Lol

I'm hoping the 49er win. Can't stand the Raven's after Sugg's comment post win over the Patriots.

fools.

The real winner of this superbowel will be the same winner as was in every superbowl since 1967.

Well one thing I will say is the 49ers kicker missed a 35 yard field goal last game which could really haunt them in a close game like this. Its a huge deal in a game this close to have a sub par kicker that might give ravens the game.

Way to close to call both teams are very evenly matched could easily go either way. I dont buy this simulation because it in the end its just a guess like all of us do.

49ers gonna do it up and win! But... um... wtf does this have to do with gaming? Because EA says? Bwahahahah!

Don't love them.  Barely can tolerate them, but the Ravens will win just as sure as my name is Thaddeus T. Bainbridge III

Wow...how are people even picking the Ravens?

The NFC has dominated the AFC this whole season, not only in the pro bowl, but in the regular season as well. The NFC division winners, Falcons, 49ers, Packers, and Redskins swept the AFC Division winners...Bronocs, Patriots, Texans, and Ravens.

Ravens beat the pats in Foxboro, big deal....so did the 49ers and if it wasn't for Justin Smith's injury, it would have been a blowout.

Niners are in most positions better than the Ravens, and have played and beaten much better competition. Atlanta and Green Bay >>> Denver and New England.

Ravens defense will confuse the 49ers offense, just look what they did to Manning and Brady, the two best QBs in the league.  That and I find it hard to respect anything the 49ers coach has done, especially since Smith would have gotten them to the Super Bowl last year if it weren't for their punt returner.  Granted, I'm tired of Ray Lewis being treated like this amazing person (as happens with most celebs even after they are involved in some pretty bad things, i.e. the media trying to say Vick had an amazing year in 2010) but the media likes to neglect Flacco and I've been a fan of his since the start so seeing him win would be great.

I predict the halftime show will suck and a team will win the game.

i pick the 49ers.

younger, faster, more overall talent, dual threat qb, best tight end in the league, best ILB(s) in the league, power running game.

Maybe EA should quit as a game publisher and get into sports forecasting. They'll have better luck there.

Just as EA predicts the winner of Superbowl,  I predict day and night that EA will go bankrupt anyday but just like EA, that never happens.

EA also said that the Niners would lose the season opener against the Packers.Didn't happen.

I want the Ravens to win. Merely because they beat the Patriots. And I HATE the freaking Patriots! Patriots fans are the worst bandwagoners than the Jets and thats pretty bad.

That is what I would like to know.  Didn't Madden get the Superbowl winner wrong last year?

@abcdefgabcdefgz No worries, they will probably go with their back up kicker after last time, and he has been rock solid in practice.  hopefully it won't come down to a field goal.

@blueboxdoctor

No, the 49ers offense will confuse and tire the Ravens D. They run a totally differnt style of offense than Manning and Brady and Colin Kaepernick has been excellent at reading defensive schemes and countering.

abcdefgabcdefgz
abcdefgabcdefgz

@Tseng @abcdefgabcdefgz

True but this simulation score has ravens winning by a field goal. Field goals in tight games really can be the whole game and in theory this will be a close game with good D.

blueboxdoctor
blueboxdoctor

@texasgoldrush @blueboxdoctor All they have to do is take away his legs, and force him to pass.  Just look at what happened when they faced the top two passing QBs.  I'm not saying Kaepernick is bad, but I think the Ravens have the better team.  Plus, Flacco is a very solid QB and they have a pretty good running game.  All that aside, I can see it ending up being as tight as the Ravens/Broncos game.

@texasgoldrush @blueboxdoctor Yep. Can Ray Lewis even run a 40yd dash in 7 seconds now? Good luck catching Kap . Lol
