I think the Ratchet and Clank game sounds more like a remake of the first game than a remaster of the original trilogy. They said they were updating the graphics and adding new gameplay sequences doesn't that fall outside the scope of a remaster? Or am I mixing the terminology up cause they are similar things...

Beware, the comment list is filled with Blazen702 and Kane6911 hatred. one saying a crap, the other supports, or vice versa.

I have to say both conferences were good, it's just MS was more focused and the transition was better executed. MS conference was grabbing, where Sony I had to drag myself through it, still better than EA, freaking snooze-fest.

lol. now it seems the xbox fanboys will finally be eating their words. the amount of brilliant content coming to sony products is unreal. My jaw literally dropped when I read one of the best adventure games of all time (grim fandango) is being remastered for ps4. I was not expecting that lol. bloodborne is a great name, sounds dark like dark souls and I am very much looking forward to it. gta v for ps4 wow, maybe gta 5 will get better now since more people are going to be playing it hence more demand for the game. here is hoping they put in more contact missions, make the payouts for the missions similar to each other so you aren't tempted to just skip all the gerald and simeon missions and keep doing rooftop rumble all over again and of course making the heists good. Of course I will refrain from stating the obvious games I am looking forward to. this is by far the most exciting e3 ever at least for ps4 it is anyway.

the way i see it, this E3 was a perfect illustration as to why Microsoft is losing. they have halo....and halo collection......and project whatever (not trying to be demeaning, i honestly don't remember the name), and Dead Rising DLC.

then Sony hits, and it's shooters (Destiny), and Action Adventure (bloodborne), Zombie (not sure if that's a genre, but whatever, i love me some Dead Island), then some Little Big Planet, the nostalgic older games, the slew of indie titles.

then of course....Uncharted 4.

I mean how does Microsoft even hope to compete? buy 1 get 1 free promotion?

Well looks like all that's left is to tune into the Nintendo event and find out if Zelda U will be out this year. If that happens I think it will be a big win for Nintendo.

Note to self: Don't buy into next year's E3 hype.

the last of us + gtaV for ps4 is reason enough to buy a ps4 this summer for me. alot of exclusives and i am sure sony is savings game announcements for TGS. sony will have alot of exclusives for 2015, that will be one hell a year for ps4 that i don´t think xboxone will be able to match.

Bloodborne ps4 exclusive is this e3 megaton.

I doubt I will ever get excited about E3 again. No real surprises from anyone today, just a sense of disappointment.

Nobody "won" MS had a more focused conference which i loved actually. Just the format of it games, games, games very little talking. Sony had Uncharted 4 which i Love, The order which looks nice but im still not really sure on, LBP 3 which i was excited about until new characters we're shown, Terrible choice (IMO) but for both it was mostly multi platforms with "pretend exclusives", which honestly sucks... Anyway i do own them both lets see if Nintendo can convince me on a Wii U tomorrow.

XBOX ONE STILL FAIL...........................

As expected, Sony failed pretty hard at their conference. Sony had nothing noteworthy to show. All the good games will be on Xbox this new generation.

I like Sony, but I'm kinda surprised by the comments.  Sure, MS's conference was safe and boring, but Sony was surprisingly bad.  First 10 minutes were great, so were the last, but that whole chunk in the middle...awkward pacing, stuff not about games.  In my opinion MS's conference was definitely a bit better.  This is the problem with having blind good will for a company, we make excuses for them when instead we should be pointing out the flaws.  Hopefully Sony will do better next year.

Sony Failed at least MS was all about games even if there was nothing to knock your socks off.

No Syphon Filter reboot, no Heavenly Sword 2, and again no news on The Last Guardian. Screw it, I'm getting drunk.

To anyone with a brain, it's clear Sony had the weaker show of the 2 (I don't have to lump in EA & Ubisoft, do I?). And Sony needs to fire their marketing team. A slick paint job in September!?! With zero exclusives now until then - what's my incentive to get one now? The mediocre infamous? Day one yawnfests? And November is Microsoft's month - hands down. Very odd decisions for many still on the fence.

Well that was... disappointing? Where were all the Megaton bombshells that were supposed to drop? All I heard was "It looks better on PlayStation". Seriously, they must have said that a dozen times at least. Looking forward to Uncharted 4 but, that's about it.

People are already saying Sony won? Both MS's and Sony's presentations were lacklustre and predictable. Both had some interesting games but, nothing earth shattering as far as exclusives are concerned. Little Big Planet doesn't do anything for me.

So really, all we have to look forward to is both consoles releasing the same games with exclusive content. So, unless you own both consoles - which I do, you get a gimped version of a game unless you happen to have the console that paid for the exclusive DLC. Nothing to celebrate imo.

@Aaronp2k Almost every game Sony showed is going to end up on another platform. Destiny, GTA, Farcry, etc. etc. Outside of Driveclub and TLOUR almost no first party games will be coming to the PS4 until next year, while the X1 will get the Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive and Killer Instinct Season 2 this year is over. You can say that the stuff Sony put out is good but it's a long time before it gets here. Its more of a draw than anything else.

@Jdzspace In fairness, the Xbox will also have Destiny, Sony just got a better deal with Bungie. That being said, I see what you're saying.

@eat_game_poop Pffft, I never held excitement for E3 so thanks to low expectations I don't have that disappointment feels. Then again I never really knew what E3 was until some recent years ago.

@bdrtfm Hah, pretty much what I was thinking. Both system lineups were okay but none of it really stood out. I'll be surprise as hell if Nintendo ends up taking the show.

@bunchanumbers @Aaronp2k - that's a joke. a collection of old games, a sequel to a terrible launch title. and sunset overdrive.

compared to all you saw from Sony. Bloodborne, Order, LBP 3, Uncharted 4, not to mention all the indies.

how is that even a realistic comparison?  seriously

bunchanumbers

@Dissentioncc @bunchanumbers or metroid, or starfox, or pikmin, or F Zero, or Animal Crossing, etc. etc. Besides after what I saw from this E3 Nintendo's lineup doesn't look too bad.

@sdinh225 @eat_game_poop Shoot I been gaming for about 20 years, so I've known about E3 for as long a I can remember. But this one really just flat out disappointed, at least for today anyway.

@eat_game_poop Hey man I was right there with you. I was praying for The Last Guardian. Just so it could be released already. I was disappointed.

bunchanumbers

@bubba_1988 @bunchanumbers Gotta agree but MS was pretty much true to their word. All games. Sony crashed and burned with them trying to push their digital marketplace. Not to mention almost none of the games shown have a release date this year.

bubba_1988
bubba_1988

@bunchanumbers @bubba_1988 Excluding 3rd party games MS had 20 games, Sony had 19. Sony's middle portion was awful, 2 billion this, 1 million that and random CEOs.

tommynj
tommynj

@bunchanumbers @bubba_1988 There is just nothing anyone wants to play on a PS4 except maybe Uncharted 4. After that is is all lackluster boring games. I can see Xbox One sales going much higher now thanks to Sony.

sdinh225

@Tiger_Ali Not sure what that has to do with my opinion on both X1 and PS4's weak conference. I want to get the glacier white Destiny PS4, the Vita TV, and I'm genuinely interested in the PS Now service since I skipped out on the PS2/PS3 being primarily a PC gamer. Everything else about was just...meh. Nothing stood out and what is really ironic is that PS4 talks more about non-game content than the X1 conference did. X1  announced a good amount more games but I'm not planning on getting one, at least  before the PS4.

bubba_1988

@bunchanumbers @bubba_1988 Haha which one?
