LOS ANGELES--Konami is doing its part to make sure that any animated cartoon with martial arts gets a proper adaptation to a video game. This November, gamers will be able to play as their favorite characters from Xiaolin Showdown on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, PSP, and DS.

The game will be developed by BottleRocket Entertainment, an independent studio made up of former employees of Sony's San Diego studios. The company's past credits include Rise of the Kasai, released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2.

The action game will allow support for up to four players (though it wasn't clear whether that functionality would be available for all platforms) as they slip into the sandals of kung-fu monk Omi and his three apprentices. In addition to fists and feet of fury, the warriors will have magical powers to take on evil boy genius Jack Spicer and his army of robots.

Xiaolin Showdown has not yet been rated or priced. For more E3 news, check out GameSpot's coverage of the expo.
