LOS ANGELES--Publisher EA is well known at E3 for having one of the best positions in the Los Angeles Convention Center. EA is located in the South Hall, and attendees can't miss it--because it's right in front of them as they walk in through the main doors.

Visitors to EA's booth have always been treated to some impressive video screens, and in recent years, its center screen has been as impressive as many of the games and hardware on the floor. EA uses a gigantic circular theater where visitors stand in the center and watch a screen that wraps around the theater's entire circumference.

On the high-tech display, EA ran a reel of its E3 lineup, which included trailers for Battlefield 2142, Superman Returns: The Videogame, Spore, Need for Speed Carbon, and The Sims 2 Pets.

In a nearby closed theater, Will Wright fans lined up to see a trailer for Spore, the upcoming PC game that gives gamers the power of evolution. Several kiosks, fanned out on either side of the central circular screen, had playable versions of Battlefield 2142 and Crysis on the PC, as well as Madden NFL 07 on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Portables weren't ignored. Def Jam: Fight for NY: The Takeover, Superman Returns: The Videogame, and NCAA Football 07 were shown on the PlayStation Portable, and a section for several mobile games dialed in attendees.
