The event, described in a press release as "intimate," aims to celebrate the Pokemon franchise's unisex fashion, accessories, and home decor.

"I'm immersed in branding and brand expansion every day with my own companies and I think what Pokemon has done here is so smart and such a perfect way to expand their footprint," Barrymore said in a statement.

According to the press release, the "most highly sought after stylists, bloggers, and influencers" have been invited to the event. Attendees can get free Pokemon-inspired nail art, while iconic Pokemon Pikachu will make an appearance of some kind. Special gift bags will be handed out (the contents of which were not disclosed), while the penthouse itself will be decked out with the "hottest Pokemon consumer products."

If you're not on Barrymore's guestlist but live in Los Angeles, you can check out a pop-up shop in the city that opens February 27. The store will sell all manner of Pokemon-themed products from "specialty designers" and other companies. The store closes on March 27.

Famous people who stayed at the Sunset Tower include Howard Hughes, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Paulette Goddard, and gangster Bugsy Siegel.
