Disney and developer Hipster Whale have teamed up for a Disney version of Crossy Road, it was announced this week at the Game Developers Conference. The new game is based on the original Crossy Road, which has been a huge hit with 120 million downloads, but with a Disney and Pixar theme.

There will be more than 100 Disney and Pixar characters (only Mickey Mouse is seen in the trailer), as well as nine Disney/Pixar-themed worlds, all of which will have unique 8-bit music.

The gameplay will be the same as you remember it, as it remains an endless runner.

This isn't the first time Disney content has come to a popular mobile game, as the House of Mouse previously partnered with Imangi Studios for a Brave version of Temple Run.

Disney Crossy Road is coming "soon" to iOS and Android devices, though a specific release date has not been announced.

The first version of Crossy Road launched late 2014. A new spin on Frogger, Crossy Road challenges players to dodge traffic and more in an attempt to reach the other side of the road. Your adventure usually ends, however, in getting splattered by a car or destroyed by a train.

The free-to-play game offers a variety of characters for purchase, and each has its own special effects.
