Noting in a blog post that there haven't been many pets in the game (and some of those you could only get through special events and the like), Blizzard announced that new ones are on the way. A special new type of goblin is being introduced who, when defeated, will drop one of several new pets; they include a young boy, a hand, and some kind of bipedal goat man. Each time you kill the goblin, you're guaranteed to get a new pet as long as you haven't collected them all.

Also in 2.4.1 are new transmogrification items that will come as common-quality items. These will drop from named enemies and rare chests, offering players more ways to customize their look without having to introduce new Legendaries.

Finally, there are other "extra-rare" rewards, like wings and a portrait frame that "present some challenge to track down." No specifics were shared for what you'll need to do to get your hands on any of these.

The 2.4.1 patch is currently available on public test servers ahead of its full release in the near future. The bulk of the update comes in the form of item and character tweaks, which you can read more about in the patch notes on Blizzard's website.
