Nokia has today released the first information on Operation Shadow for the N-Gage, which was announced alongside six other N-Gage titles last week. The war-themed action adventure game, which is currently in development at Australia-based Torus Games, will grant players access to modern military weapons and vehicles including helicopters, tanks, and hummers.

"We are thrilled to announce Nokia's second own published game title," said Pasi Polonen, director of game publishing for the entertainment and media business unit at Nokia. "Operation Shadow is a great example of how Nokia titles will be known for their innovative use of the mobile multiplayer features of the N-Gage platform. Imagine competing on the deathmatch battlefield, forming a team with your friends, and taking each other on. Each player's team can exploit the tactical advantages of the various vehicles as they battle for supremacy and bragging rights."

Operation Shadow will feature Bluetooth multiplayer support for up to four players, and it's currently scheduled for release in the first half of 2004. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
