Update: Bungie has announced that it is canceling the Iron Banner tournament that was scheduled to go live tomorrow. The studio cited issues plaguing the game since last week; network connection problems prevented players from joining matches in Trials of Osiris, Destiny's weekend multiplayer event. Players also reported issues with damage not registering correctly in Crucible matches and character data failing to load.

There's no word yet on when these problems will be fixed.

Original Story: Most of the attention among Destiny fans has been directed toward the Rise of Iron expansion that's launching in September. But that's still several months away, and in the meantime, developer Bungie is bringing back the Iron Banner tournament. Today, the studio announced the dates and the rewards of next week's Iron Banner.

The popular competitive mode, which enables level advantages so that characters with higher light levels will be stronger, begins on Tuesday, June 21, at 10 AM PT.
