A new hotfix makes missing Sterling Treasure available again.

Bungie today released a "hotfix" for Destiny that, among other things, fixes a problem related to some players not receiving promised Sterling Treasures. Destiny's big spring update last week added Sterling Treasure Boxes as weekly rewards, but not everyone who was eligible received them.

That should now be fixed thanks to this hotfix.

Players who logged in to Destiny between 2 AM and 10 AM PST on April 12 (the day Destiny's April update arrived) and did not receive their Sterling Treasure Box should now be able to grab it. Affected players need to act quickly, however, as they have until this week's reset, taking place April 19 at 2 AM PST, to log in to Destiny and grab their Treasure Box.

The Treasure Boxes are handed out at the end of certain matches and activities, with new Boxes offered on a weekly basis. So even if you aren't able to log in before this week's reset, there will be another chance.

Here is the full description of today's Destiny hotfix:

General

  • Fixed an issue in which some players were not correctly receiving Sterling Treasures for logging in
    • Affected players will ONLY have until the 04/19 Weekly Reset (2 AM PST) to attain them.
  • Players will be able to receive Sterling Treasures from the following method upon weekly reset:
    • Logging into a character on their account (one per account)
    • Completing a match in weekly featured Crucible playlist
    • Completing Level 41 Prison of Elder

In other Destiny news, Bungie recently told fans to stay tuned for more details on the game's next big content update. "Later on this summer, we'll show you the scope, scale, and flavor for the next challenge you'll face," Bungie said.
