The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Bungie's soon-to-be-released shooter, Destiny, might be getting most of the attention, but the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions are strong alternatives, according to Microsoft.

Responding to a fan on Twitter who lamented the fact that he could not afford an Xbox One to experience Destiny in "the best way," Xbox boss Phil Spencer said you should not overlook the last-generation versions of the game.

"I wouldn't dismiss the 360 or PS3 versions, Bungie did a lot of work to make those great," Spencer said. In fact, Bungie maintains that Destiny for Xbox 360 and PS3 contains the "full vision" of the shooter.

Destiny launches tomorrow, September 9, for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. GameSpot's Destiny live-stream marathon (above) is now underway, and if you tune in, you could win a free copy of the game.
