Demento dated for Japan

Capcom’s gothic-horror PS2 game is slated for release April 21.

TOKYO--The horror game Demento will be released in Japan for the PlayStation 2 on April 21, Capcom officials said today. The game will be priced at 6,990 yen ($67). In the US, the game will be called Haunting Ground.

In Demento, players assume the role of Fiona Belli, a college student who is trapped in an ancient castle after a traffic accident. Accompanied by her pooch, Hewie, Fiona has to find her way out of the castle while fighting the servants who try to prevent her from escaping.

Capcom has also updated the Demento Web site with additional movies in its character section and new wallpapers in its download section. For more on Demento/Haunting Ground, see our previous coverage.
