Cinemaware today announced the release of Defender of the Crown for wireless application protocol (WAP) enabled mobile devices. The classic adventure game, which was first released for the Amiga in 1986, lets players enter the world of King Arthur and engage in activities including swordfights, jousting tournaments, siege warfare, and archery. The WAP version of the game was developed under a partnership with UK-based Atomic Planet Entertainment.

Cinemaware is currently developing a modern sequel to the game, Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown, for the PC and the Sony PlayStation 2.
