DC Universe Online beta sign-up begins
Sony Online Entertainment now accepting applicants for the upcoming PlayStation 3 and PC MMORPG beta; start date not announced.
Sony Online Entertainment recently thinned its staff by 4 percent, but that didn't stop the online games developer from opening the beta registration for its long-awaited and upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game, DC Universe Online.
Those interested in getting an early look at the superhero MMORPG can sign up for either the PlayStation 3 or PC version at the beta registration page. Those accepted into the trial period will receive a follow-up e-mail from SOE with further instruction.
SOE did not specify a start date for the beta but did hint that the action MMORPG will roll out in phases, similar to the testing phase for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Set within the DC Comics world, DC Universe Online will let players create a superhero or villain and fight alongside or against iconic comic book characters, such as the Joker, Batman, Superman, and others.
DC Universe Online is currently scheduled for release on November 2 for PS3 and PC. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's most recent preview.
