The Entertainment Software Rating Board let the Data East Arcade Classics cat out of the bag, but Majesco's official confirmation of the game today offered a few more details for the upcoming Wii game. Set for release in early 2010, the compilation will include 15 games in all and will carry a $19.99 budget price point.

Majesco revealed eight games from the compilation's lineup today, headlined by BurgerTime and Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja. Also confirmed are the BurgerTime sequel Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory, Heavy Barrel, Caveman Ninja (better known in the West as Joe and Mac), Burnin' Rubber, Magical Drop III, and Side Pocket.

Every one of the games will support multiplayer options, and players can choose to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, Classic Controller, or GameCube pads to manage the action. As for new features, players will be able to "link their high scores to their Mii," and Majesco is including 75 other goals that, when accomplished, will unlock bonus materials like music and art from the original games and their arcade cabinets.

Double Dragon? Hello!? Anyways, looks like all of their truly great games that I remember their name being on won't be on this... no buy unless we get a much better list. I'll buy it used for $3 at gamestop in a couple months.

Burger Time and Bad Dudes might be fun.... but I have a feeling that once I play them again, I'll realize how old and dated they are. This compilation has the right price but there should be more games on the disc. 15 games doesn't seem like a lot....

Midnight Resistance will hopefully be part of it.

Think this will be bought, love Data East. Crude Bros (or "Crude Busters") was the game me and brother played all through one summer in the early 90's. Hopefully Shadowrun, Midnight Resistance and Karnov will be on here, they're worth $20 (£12.50) any day.

Don't knock Magical Drop 3. That game was great. You probably just looked at a screenshot and thought it sucked without playing it.

Wow, and people slag off 360 'On demand' games being £20!

Only 15 games? Lame. Also, we're off to a bad start. Side Pocket? Magical Drop III? If you want to include an outdated sports (if pool can even be considered a sport) game, throw in Ring King, which, though not nearly as good a boxing game as Fight Night Round 4, might still be fun today, and do we really need yet another generic puzzle games we saw so much of in the 1990's. Also, Heavy Barrel will not translate well to home consoles, due to its rotating joystick (unless they can somehow incorporate the Wii's motion control stick). Not all bad news, though. Bad Dudes, like most things from the decade, is a classic piece of cheesy nostalgia, and Burger Time is a certified classic. Burnin' Rubber (better known here as Bump n' Jump) is a fun and still rather unique game. Hopefully, the other seven will include Karnov, Breakthru, Robocop (licensing issues will probably keep this one out) and/or Sly Spy.

SWEET!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!! Data East was my fav game maker back in the late 80s. Then, of course, Konami stole the throne. Then Capcom. Then Sega. Then Midway.

It's sad that so many old and brilliant games probably won't see the light of day again (sans emulation) as many software houses will have split rights when they got bought out and traded. Bad Dudes vs Dragon Ninja was a brilliant game. I would like to see more like this coming out.

These were great games in their time. I remember renting Bad Dudes on the NES for the weekend. Those games really were fun back then. Getting this many in a bundle for such a low price is a nice thing.

15 Data East Games + $20 price tag = me being first in line to pick it up. And this is probably a bit of a stretch, but I'm hoping Crude Buster and Midnight Resistance made the final list.

I'm pretty much getting this for Heavy Barrel. I know, it's sad.

I liked Burger Time and Side Pocket. Joe and Mac was good. Bad Dudes is old, old, old. I can't tell you how many times I beat that game at the arcade and at home on my Nintendo SNES. Always wondered what happened to Data East.

This is amazing - I am getting this day one!! $20 for 15 great arcade games is a great deal!! Magical Drop is great, although they had me at BurgerTime.

with compilations these days, i think this should be lower priced becuse you have sonic sega genesis colleciton, and it is like 40 games for $30, but this is 15 games for $20 so i think the deal isn't as good
