On Monday, Creative Technology introduced its new 3D Blaster Savage4 graphics accelerator fully stacked with 32 MB SDRAM, 300 MHz RAMDAC card, and DVD hardware assist. The board will also come with all the bells and whistles you expect from Creative, including Sonnetech's 3Deep and Colorific color calibration software package.

The 3D Blaster Savage 4 runs on S3's Savage4 Pro graphics processor with support for S3TC texture compression, 32-bit rendering, a 128-bit 3D graphics engine, dual texture 3D rendering pipeline, and multiple configurations fir PCI, AGP 2X, and AGP 4X.

Games will get a considerable boost with the dual texture engine that will simultaneously process and combine two textures. This will make it simpler for developers to incorporate features like bump mapping, environmental mapping, and dual texture mapping with a maximum output of 125 million trilinear filtered pixels a second.

The 3D Blaster Savage4 will roll onto shelves this May for around US$129.99.
