Gamers looking for higher-quality digital sound from their three-piece speaker systems may find just what they need in the latest offering from Creative Technology's Cambridge SoundWorks speaker business. Called the SoundWorks Digital, the speakers are similar to the popular three-piece systems already on the market but with the addition of technology used in the company's more expensive FourPointSurround FPS2000 Digital speaker system.

Enhancements include an improved wooden subwoofer for deeper bass with 22 watts of power, 16 watts of power to the system's satellites, and S/PDIF input for clear digital input. For those with SoundBlaster Live! sound cards, you can improve your sound by connecting the SoundWorks Digital speakers to your S/PDIF out port.

Interested gamers can find the new SoundWorks Digital speaker systems at local retailers for only US$99 or Cambridge SoundWorks' online site.
