Westwood Studios has announced that its latest real-time strategy game expansion, Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge, has gone gold and will ship to stores near the end of the month. Yuri's Revenge is an expansion pack for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. The expansion continues the story of an alternate-reality conflict between Allied and Soviet forces. In Yuri's Revenge, though, Yuri himself splits off from the Soviet side and launches his own campaign to conquer the world using psychic powers.

The expansion adds a number of new features, including new Allied and Soviet units, two new single-player campaigns, new multiplayer features, cooperative campaigns, and an entirely new faction led by Yuri. In addition, the expansion features a full hour of filmed story sequences.

Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge is scheduled to ship to stores on September 25 with an approximate retail price of $29.95. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the expansion.
