Westwood Studios has announced that Command & Conquer Renegade has shipped and will soon be available in stores. The action game is set in the sci-fi universe featured in Westwood's popular Command & Conquer real-time strategy game series, which has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide on a number of platforms. In the game's single-player mode, players assume the role of a commando fighting in the war between GDI and NOD forces. The game features structures, weapons, and vehicles from the original Command & Conquer. In the game's multiplayer mode, players can join one of two teams as they fight to destroy each other's base.

Command & Conquer Renegade will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $44.99. We've posted some new screenshots in the gallery above that show off the flying vehicles that will be featured in two new Renegade multiplayer maps, which Westwood plans to release for download in mid-March.
