Civilization III goes gold

Infogrames and Firaxis Games have announced that Sid Meier's latest empire-building strategy game, Civilization III, has gone gold. The game is the latest is the popular Civilization turn-based strategy series, and it features a wide variety of improvements on the previous games, including better graphics and enhanced combat and diplomacy options.

Civilization III was developed by Firaxis, and it will be available in stores in early November for an approximate retail price of $49.99.
