Chron X Extra

Genetic Anomalies releases version 2.0 of its online card game Chron X today, as well as an expansion set it's calling Chron X: Overture, the company announced.

The expansion adds some 145 virtual cards - new headquarters, weapons, and other items - to the 200 cards of the original game. Chron Xers can opt to play matches including the expansion cards, or they can go for Overture-less play.

The 2.0 update, which includes, says Genetic Anomalies, new chat features, support for user-created groups or "factions," support for organized tournament, among other features, is free to users.

The company also announced that it will be giving away one "deck" of Overture cards to players who are already registered Chron X players.
