Back in August at the Leipzig Games Convention, Sony promised Europeans a number of new products would be arriving in the coming months.

These included SingStar on the PlayStation 3, along with the SingStore, a constantly updated database of songs that karaoke stars can download; Play TV for the PS3; and more titles in the Go! series for the PlayStation Portable.

Go!Cam was the first title in the series to be launched last May, and Go!Explore is the next in line, now expected this spring.

Go!Explore will come in three different packages--the first will be for those on foot, and will have the GPS receiver and UMD, along with maps of the user's country, and cost €119 (£89). The second will be a mobile version, with a GPS receiver, UMD (again with maps), car adapter, and car mount, and will cost €149 (£112). There will also be a bundle which will come with a PSP, GPS receiver, UMD with maps, car adapter, and car mount for €299 (£224).

The following country maps will initially be available: UK/Ireland, France, Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Spain/Portugal, Nordic, Benelux, and Italy. The software will come in 11 European languages, regardless of which country the maps are for.

Go!Explore will have different day and night modes, and new maps and upgrades will be downloadable from the PlayStation Network.
