Campaign For Vib Ribbon

With your support, there's a chance that the latest game from the designer of PaRappa the Rapper could see a US release.

Comments

Earlier this month, at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, Calif., PaRappa the Rapper designer Masaya Matsuura announced that his latest game, Vib Ribbon, had been translated into English. This came as a surprise to those in attendance, as the title had not been announced for any English-speaking markets, yet. He went on to deliver news about the plans for the game's European release this summer.

However, the title is not currently planned for the North American market. Sony, apparently unimpressed with the game's simplistic graphics, passed on the US publishing rights. Word spread across the gaming community and several petitions began, asking for gamers to write to Sony Computer Entertainment of America and request that the title come to the States. Apparently, these petitions have started to spark interest at the Sony camp.

"This opinion has pushed many people around me now. And I think many people on the Vib Ribbon team were very encouraged," Matsuura informed GameSpot News.

So if you're interested in seeing Vib Ribbon come to the US, then by all means send your comments to SCEA. Linked to the right is a feedback page for Sony that you can fill out and submit to the company online. Or send your comments via snail mail to the address below:

Sony Computer Entertainment America 919 East Hillsdale Blvd., 2nd Floor Foster City, CA 94404-2175
