Borderlands 2 has now shipped more than 7.5 million copies, Take-Two Interactive announced during a recent earnings call discussing the company's record-breaking results.

This is up from the 7 million figure disclosed at the end of July. Borderlands 2 remains on track to becoming the best-selling title in 2K's history, the company said during the call.

Take-Two also confirmed that the second Headhunter expansion for Borderlands 2 will be released in November. The downloadable content is officially called Headhunter 2: Wattle Gobbler, and is scheduled to launch for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. No firm release date was announced, but its title suggests the expansion will be released around Thanksgiving.

The Wattle Gobbler DLC will follow the Halloween-themed TK Baha's Bloody Harvest, which was released across all platforms earlier this month.

During Take-Two's earnings call yesterday, management said demand for Borderlands 2 and its DLC remains "strong" more than a year after launch. Additional "high-quality" content is in the pipeline for the franchise, the company said.
