Today Electronic Arts officially announced its upcoming god game expansion, Black & White: Creature Isle. The expansion adds a number of features to the popular god game Black & White, including a new land filled with mystical creatures, new artificial intelligence, and a female creature. The company also released two new screenshots from the expansion showing off the new apprentice creature and an overhead view of the new island.

Creature Isle focuses on a creature whose alignment changes between good and evil depending on the actions of the player. The creature must win the hand of Eve, a mysterious female creature, by completing a series of challenging trials. He also must gain acceptance into the Brotherhood, an organization of creatures that exists on the new island. The expansion also adds an apprentice creature: a spring chicken. The creature will raise the young chicken based on what he has learned from the player, and Eve's decision to mate with the creature will be partially based on how the creature raises his apprentice.

Black & White: Creature Isle is in development at Lionhead Studios, and it will require the original Black & White to play. The expansion is scheduled for release this fall. For more information, take a look at our in-depth preview of the expansion.
