Beboppin' Poppin' Toppin'

TOKYO - Konami's Pop'n Music for the Dreamcast and PlayStation continues its series of musical games.

TOKYO - Following the path of the hugely successful Beatmania, Konami is seeking other music-related smash hits. Pop'n Music for the Dreamcast and PlayStation will be released on February 25. This is a port of Konami's popular arcade title, which is strikingly similar to Beatmania. The game itself plays like Beatmania - just push the correct button or D-pad direction with the right timing as the commands fall from the top of the screen. Simple, right? The tunes featured in this game are rather cheerful and more humorous ones than those in Beatmania.

Konami will release an exclusive controller for the game for those who prefer the real arcade feel.

Pop'n Music for the PlayStation/Dreamcast will be released February 25, for 4,800 yen each (about $42). Pop'n Controller will be released the same day for 4,900 yen (about US$43).
