Aussie game charts: April 2-April 8

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) are back and on top this week with their movie tie-in game on the PlayStation 2. TMNT has jumped to the number one spot in the Australian game charts--three weeks after its initial release. The spike can be attributed to the general release of TMNT the movie on April 5 in Australia.

The Guitar Hero 2 bundle on the Xbox 360 leapt straight to the number two spot in its debut week--knocking Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars to the number three spot. Cricket World Cup fever has fallen this week with Ricky Ponting International Cricket 2007 on the PlayStation 2 falling two spots to number six. PS3 games sales have dropped off in the 10 chart with MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man holding the seventh and eighth positions respectively this week.

In other charts for the week of April 2 to April 8, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess retains its position at the top of the Wii games, and Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Nintendo DS charts also remains on the top. Overall the charts have changed very little since the previous week--with few titles that came out making an impact.
