August's Free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games With Gold Now Available

It's August 1, which means the first of this month's free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are now available on Xbox Live through the Games With Gold promotion. Need a refresher of this month's lineup? Below is a breakdown of the game's available now for free and those coming later for both Xbox One and Xbox 360.

In addition, don't forget that one of July's two games for Xbox One, So Many Me, remains available until August 15.

Even if you don't have an Xbox 360, it's worth claiming the last-generation titles through the Xbox web store, as 360's Games With Gold titles may eventually be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.

• How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition (August 16-September 15)

Xbox 360:

• Metro 2033 (August 1-15)
