This week sees EA join the hunt for the world's most wanted man in the reboot of its popular military franchise, Medal of Honor. Set in Afghanistan, the game takes place from the soldiers' perspectives on the ground and in the air, highlighting the differences between forces in what EA is referring to as "the sledgehammer and scalpel approach to warfare." On top of collaborating with real US military Tier 1 operators for the single-player mode, Battlefield developer DICE was brought in to work on the game's multiplayer offering. Medal of Honor launches this Thursday on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
If you're after a less serious experience, then perhaps EA Sports' latest NBA game for the Wii is the one for you. NBA Jam was played by millions of gamers in the '90s and was known for its over-the-top action and cheesy dialogue. Now it's coming back in the form of EA Sports NBA Jam for the Wii. The disc contains the original old-school game, as well as a remix tour that features new moves and boss battles added to the fray. Unfortunately, there's no online multiplayer for the Wii version, but it does support offline competitive play. EA Sports NBA Jam for the Wii is coming out on the 14th of October, with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to follow shortly.
Finally, we've got one for the ladies this week: Just Dance 2 from Ubisoft. Not a whole lot has changed here, except for the tracklist that includes popular songs like "Tik Tok" by Kesha, Katy Perry's "Firework," and "YMCA" by The Village People.
