The Ancestors Character Pack leads the add-on content, and it will be available December 13 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game for $3.99 (320 Microsoft points). The pack augments the game's multiplayer mode with new playable characters: the Privateer, the Corsair, the Brigand, and the Gladiator.

Ubisoft also indicated that a second DLC pack is planned. However, details on that release have yet to be revealed.

The publisher also provided an update on the PC release of Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Initially pegged for a tandem release with the Xbox 360 and PS3 editions of the game, the PC version will now be available on November 28.

Revelations will follow the story of Ezio, who was first introduced in Assassin's Creed II. This time out, Ezio will seek out the haunts of original Assassin's Creed protagonist Altair, visiting such Middle East strongholds as the Ottoman Empire's Constantinople. There, Ezio will once again take up arms against the Templar order.
