Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood free DLC drops Dec. 14
Ubisoft's first multiplatform add-on arrives next month on the 360 and PS3, bringing new multiplayer mode and map.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood has been another hit for publisher Ubisoft, having only been held off the top of the UK charts during its launch week by Call of Duty: Black Ops. The first multiplayer-enabled installment in the series has also benefited from a strong reception from critics.
While the PlayStation 3 version of the game contains a code for exclusive downloadable content, the first cross-platform multiplayer DLC will be hitting Brotherhood on December 14. The Animus Project Update 1.0 will be released for free on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and it will incorporate both a new multiplayer game mode and a multiplayer map.
The game mode is called Advanced Alliance and builds upon the existing Alliance game type. It will make target identification and engagement more difficult, with enemy locations being less specific than in the standard game mode. The new map is set in Mont Saint-Michel--a rocky, tidal landscape with narrow streets, multilevel architecture, and a bell tower.
