Armed and Dangerous holds up stores

LucasArts and Planet Moon Studio's wacky action title starts arriving in retail today.

Armed and Dangerous, Planet Moon Studio's loopy spin on the sci-fi genre, began landing in stores today. The game is rated 'T' for teen, retails for $49.99 and is only available on the Xbox and PCs.

Created by the twisted minds behind Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Armed and Dangerous blends third-person shooter action with left-brain humor vaguely reminiscent of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The game follows a posse of bandits as they seek to steal a magical book from the local despot.

Aaron Loeb, producer at Planet Moon Studios, told GameSpot today. "I can hardly believe this day has come. Two years of preparing this feast of a game, and at last we serve it up to gamers across North America. Eat up, fellow gamers. Armed & Dangerous is chocolaty and delicious."
