Like Fight or Fright, Holo-Day Bash adds a new legend heirloom to Apex Legends. Pathfinder is the lucky legend this time, and you can unlock his boxing gloves heirloom by unlocking all 24 of the holiday-themed items in Apex Legends' in-game store. That will set you back quite a lot, but it's the only surefire way of unlocking the heirloom. Once Holo-Day Bash ends, you'll have to be lucky enough to earn the heirloom through random Apex Pack drops--which is a 1/500 chance.

Like previous events, Holo-Day Bash adds a new limited-time mode as well. Called Winter Express, the new mode is a king-of-the-hill take on the battle royale, with World's Edge moving train the point on the map that teams need to hold in order to score points. Score enough points and you win the round. Win three rounds and your team is crowned champion squad. Similar to Fight or Fright's Shadowfall, you can respawn multiple times in Winter Express.

Holo-Day Bash features a Mirage-themed town takeover too. Back in Kings Canyon, Octane and Wraith had town takeovers in the Iron Crown and Voidwalker events, respectively, which transformed portions of the map to reflect the characters' personalities and backstory. For the Holo-Day Bash, Mirage's town takeover adds a dropship to the map that hosts a nice lounge area and several of his decoy clones.
