There's more Angry Birds on the way, this time starring new character Stella.

Angry Birds Stella will be released in fall 2014, developer Rovio has announced, and will include games, animation, books, toys, and probably even lunch boxes and branded soft drinks. No actual details about the game were mentioned, although there's a solid chance it will involve flinging Rovio's new pink protagonist at a group of enemies (pigs, perhaps) that have wronged her in some way.

"Get ready to meet Stella and her friends," said Rovio. "Stella may be pink, but she's definitely one of the Angry Birds, a fierce and a feisty character with a great group of friends. Of course no story is complete without some interesting (fr)enemies!"

"Angry Birds Stella will open a door to a part of the Angry Birds universe you've never seen before! There will be plenty of fun and adventure, but the bunch of passionate pals will also have to deal with some serious issues in order to protect their friendship and the environment they live in. Luckily, Stella and her friends are good at finding creative solutions!"

Rovio's last Angry Birds title was free-to-play kart racer Angry Birds Go!, which failed to garner the same traction as mammoth titles like Angry Birds Star Wars and later saw Rovio defending its choice behind microtransaction-heavy racer.
