Following the decision last week by Australia's Classification Review Board to overturn the initial ban of Sega's upcoming shooter Aliens vs. Predator and give the game an MA15+ classification, Sega has revealed the game's release date in Australia, as well as information on special edition packs.

Aliens vs. Predator will be released across Australia on February 18, 2010 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The game will also be available in a Survivor Edition and a Hunter Edition. The Survivor Edition will retail for A$119.95 for the 360 and PS3 and A$109.95 for the PC and include a limited edition Steelbook and four exclusive multiplayer maps. The Hunter Edition will retail for A$139.95 for the 360 and PS3 and A$129.95 for the PC and will include prestige packaging, the Survivor Edition of the game, with Steelbook and exclusive maps, a replica moldable Facehugger, a Weyland logo material sleeve badge, and a 3D lenticular card.

The Standard Edition of the game, which only features the game software will be available for A$99.95 for the 360 and PS3 and A$89.95 for the PC.

"On the back of the successful appeal last Friday, we are delighted to confirm that beyond the standard edition for the game, we will be delivering two special editions," managing director Sega Australia, Darren Macbeth, said. "The team at Rebellion have been true to the Aliens and Predator universes and created a title that allows gamers to experience first-hand all the thrill, tension, and excitement of the Aliens and Predator movies."
