Activision has today announced the release of U.S. Most Wanted--an action game in which players assume the role of a bounty hunter charged with locating and killing dangerous fictitious criminals all over the world. Hunting terrorists, war criminals, and crime organization kingpins will take players everywhere from Eastern Europe to Mexico City, and they'll employ a formidable arsenal of weapons en route.

U.S. Most Wanted can be played from either a third- or first-person perspective, and, given that missions often require a combination of firepower and stealth, it's likely that both will have their uses. "U.S. Most Wanted combines action and adventure to deliver an intense and gritty gaming experience," said Patrick Kelly, vice president of studios at Activision Value. "Using brains and brawn, players get the chance to be a modern-day hero by tracking down the most elusive criminals in the world and bringing them to justice."

U.S. Most Wanted is available in stores now at a recommended price of $19.99.
