Activision has announced that it has partnered with high-performance automotive manufacturer Steve Saleen for its upcoming PlayStation 2 game, Supercar Street Challenge. Saleen's latest automotive creation, the Saleen S7, will be featured in the game, and Steve Saleen will serve as a consultant on the title. Saleen will contribute to the creative development of the game's design studio mode, which lets players design and customize their own supercars.

"Steve Saleen is an undisputed master in the design of high-performance vehicles, and his revolutionary S7 is a good example of his creative genius,'' stated Greg Goldstein, vice president of licensing for Activision. "In adding his expertise and name to Supercar Street Challenge, it is our goal to create the most exciting street racing game to date.''

Supercar Street Challenge will be released for the PlayStation 2 this summer.
