Activision Blizzard CEO Donates $50,000 to Chris Christie Presidential Bid

Bobby Kotick, the president and CEO of gaming giant Activision Blizzard, has made a sizable donation to New Jersey governor Chris Christie's presidential campaign.

Newly released documents show that Kotick gave $50,000 to the America Leads PAC, the group supporting Christie's bid for the Oval Office.

Kotick and Christie are not strangers.

From a 2012 New York Times report about Allen & Company's annual Sun Valley summer retreat:

"As the night wound down, Governor Christie, who some believe is a prime candidate for Mr. Romney's ticket, finally emerged from the bar. He strode through the lobby in high spirits, guffawing with friends, with his arm around Bobby Kotick, chief executive of Activision Blizzard."

Kotick--whose base salary is $2.1 million--became CEO of Activision Blizzard in 2008 as part of the company's merge with Vivendi Games. Activision Blizzard has since separated itself from Vivendi.

In addition to his role at Activision Blizzard, Kotick is a member of the board of directors at The Coca-Cola Company. He also sits on the Board of Trustees for The Center for Early Education and is the Chairman of the Committee of Trustees for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

What's more, Kotick established the Call of Duty Endowment charity.
