LONDON - Acclaim certainly didn't disappoint at this year's ECTS, especially because of titles like Furballs on the Dreamcast. Being developed by Bizarre Creations (also currently developing the Dreamcast racing title Metropolis), Acclaim announced that it has acquired the publishing rights for Furballs and gave showgoers a first look at the game in action.

Furballs is a shooting title similar to Jet Force Gemini on the Nintendo 64. However, with the added power of the Dreamcast, this title looks as though it will pose some serious competition to Rare's shooter. The game features cartoony graphics and offers action gameplay (intense shooting) along with adventure elements. There's just something really cool about using really cute creatures packing major firepower to blow away evil enemies.

Furballs is slated for release later this year on the Dreamcast and the PC. And, as GameSpot News has reported in another article today, the game is also coming to the PlayStation 2 next year. For some great new screens of Furballs in action, check out our latest pictures straight from ECTS.
