$40 Gunstringer shooting retail Sept. 13

Twisted Pixel nails down release date, budget price for upcoming motion-controlled adventure shooter bundled with download voucher for Fruit Ninja Kinect.

Last week, Twisted Pixel released the well-received Ms. 'Splosion Man on Xbox Live Arcade. Gamers hoping to get a taste of what the developer is brewing next won't have to wait too long, as the studio today announced that The Gunstringer is due out September 13.

The Gunstringer is shooting this September.

The Kinect-enabled game will sell for $40 at retail and will be bundled with a voucher code to download Halfbrick's slice-'em-up Fruit Ninja Kinect. The Halfbrick-developed produce-slicing game will see a stand-alone Xbox Live Arcade launch August 10 and will sell for $10 separately.

Those who pick up the Gunstringer will also be able to grab a free downloadable add-on called The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles. The expansion has players battling cowboys as well as futuristic combatants to save the world from total collapse.

Additionally, gamers who preorder The Gunstringer will receive a pair of Xbox 360 avatar props: a Gunstringer marionette and the hero's trusty steed. For more on The Gunstringer, check out GameSpot's latest preview of the game.

Hmm, atleast you get a bunch of extras, plus that extra game. If I decide to splurge on kinect, this may be the game that makes me decide to do so.

Way to go, Twisted Pixel.

I was going to complain about this game's being sold at full price (well, sorta full price), but then I read about the extras. Twisted Pixel's XBLA games by themselves usually pack enough content to warrant a $30 price tag (in my most incredibly humble opinion).

Yeah there giving you alot of stuff because ts not worth 40 bucks , just like child of eden it will be short. Not to say it wont be a good game, but it should have been a download xbox arcade game like they said at first.

@monson21502 Really? Really? If you got a cloth map, art book, making of DVD, bonus DLC and a six inch dragon statue for pre-ordering Skyrim I don't think you'd be saying that you're worried for the quality of the game. You'd praising Bethesda for giving you such bonuses. Jeez, people are so jaded that they try to spin free stuff into some sort of terrible omen.
