Gauntlet never dies, it just comes back in a shinier box.

User Rating: 6 | Arkadian Warriors X360
Arkadian Warriors screams 'budget game' - from the rather average presentation to the lack of diversity in weapons, monsters and quests. It is, however, rather good fun albeit in a disengage-brain sort of way.

Take control of one of three champions from the usual formulaic D&D canon, a mage, archer or warrior then plod through mazes killing every monster you see and picking up treasure to buy better weapons and armour. It really is that simple. There are rarely any deviations from this pattern and even the occasional boss fight does little to break up the rather monotonous trekking and killing.

Despite this, the game can be fun to relax to. It requires little thought from the player and so you can feel free to play this while thinking about making plans for the weekend, wether to call up your ex or eat that third pot-noodle.

In some strange way, the lack of requirement from the player makes a nice change from engaging storylines and intricate puzzles of big budget games and the fact that monsters only attack if you get in a specific range means that you can take each dungeon at your own pace.

So, if you're considering what to have for dinner later or havent quite decided if that new movie is worth your time, download this and let your mind wander whiile your fingers earn you a few extra Microsoft points.
